Independent, not looking for someone to complete me but rather to share life with for as long as we are here. I'm a revert of ten years, during my early years in the deen I had a teacher who encouraged us to dream big, I've never forgotten, so I still have big dreams of what I want to achieve for my akhirah. In shaa Allah I can do my best to be a good muslim wife but I'm not the "traditional" African wife.
A brother who loves gaining knowledge of deen. A brother who wants more from life than the mundane. A brother who truly knows that we will surely die and so doesn't put attaining wealth and status first. A man who understands that we will leave behind all these comforts we work so hard for. Its difficult to go against social pressures that tell us that a prestigious job makes you a man, a man who has the strength of character to chart his own path, a man for whom money is only a means to earn the pleasure of his Lord, is a man whose side I'll never want to leave, in shaa Allah.
