My name is Marc,I was born & raised in California but I temporally moved to Washington DC Area to start a new life. This time of transition has allowed me to spend the last few month working on publishing a book biography about the life of my grand father; "Robert Swift: From a butler to an industrialist" Such an incredible & meaningful experience it has been in doing so. As a child,I have heard the stories of the hardships, tragedies, loneliness, abandonment, will to survive, and courage of this Man over and over. However, it wasn't until I read his unplished Biography that I was subjected to the pain, suffering, heartache, emotions, strength, and true courage that it must have taken to survive his fate in life and be the Man he is today. Never in my life have I ever had more "Respect" for all mankind. I am Proud to say, "That my grand father truly is my Hero."That being said, every Monday through Friday it's all suit and tie, but come the weekends I like to kick back and get comfortable. In my spare time I can usually be found watching sport or partaking in some sort of outdoor activity., boating, snowmobiling, skiing/snowboarding; all dependent of the season and the weather. I have a soft spot for big toys and enjoy every minute I get to spend utilizing them. On the flip, I am also a very big fan of simple nights consisting of a good movie, a bottle of wine, a fire, and my significant other.With that said, there's no question that it also needs to be with the "right" person. Someone that compliments you, yet challenges you. Someone that supports you, and most importantly Loves you; UNCONDITIONALLY! I'm very good at all of this and will not settle until I find the same in a woman. I adore children and had one that pass away serving in the US Army in Iraq 2003 (May his soul rest in peace) but i feel blessed to spending time with his incredible son (my grandson) every holiday. I am on this site with the hopes and patience of what could possibly be meeting the one; that special someone. The person I want and admire to have by my side as I take that next step in approaching the next phase of my life. I am very proud of all that I have accomplished in my life to date. I've had a great run. Great run. I now look forward to spending all my joys, interests, and pleasures that I have worked so hard for with that special person.
