My name is Omid, which means hope. I’ve studied French lieterature, linguistics and German language, and I’ve been working as German interpret for the past seven years. All my life I used to wonder what I would become when I grew up, but I realized that I was never going to grow up; growing up is an ever ongoing process. If I know exactly where I’m going, how to get there, and what I’ll see along the way, I won’t learn anything at all. It’s because of problems that one could grow mentally and spiritually. My finest moments are most likely to occur when I’m deeply unfortunate, unhappy, and unfulfilled. For it is only in these moments that I’m likely to step out of my old ruts and start searching for different ways and better answers.
Love is the free exercise of choice. Two people love each other only when they are capable of living without each other but choose to live with each other. The most important form of loving is attention, and the most important form of attention listening. True listening is love in action.
