Assalamu'alaikum Everyone :) A little bit about me (words can never truly describe one's self but here goes nothing): Working in the academia/research studies has made me quite the thoughtful person and elaborate when it comes to describing things. I have a good view of myself and I am going to say what I think and others have said about me. I am reserved at first and will open up gradually when the right time comes. Having met people from various religion, ethnicity and work backgrounds has made me a person that is open minded. I'm also sensitive towards the needs of others, easy-going, don't like to complicate things, forgiving, will listen to what you have to say, a little shy, has high integrity (at least I try to be) towards god and other human beings, animals (cat lover here by the way :P) and even ants? Can't be perfect but I'll do my best at serving people especially my loved ones. Most of the time a laid-back person and calm and collected when dealing with problems or even when there is no problem. Quite optimistic, positive and will always give benefit of the doubt unless proven otherwise. Sure that there are times when you need to be careful and not be naive. Also a family oriented man. Oh, and I consider myself to be romantic with a good sense a humor. Hardly complain, unless when it's really needed. There's a time and place for everything so I may laugh hysterically at times when the joke clicks while there are times where there is a need to be strict and firm. I am quite the playful guy to be honest (not afraid to admit that by the way haha). I pray 5 times a day and try to do them in congregation whenever possible. I read/recite the Qur'an occasionally and listen to Islamic lectures in order to have more understanding of the deen. Badminton is one of my favorite sports and I jog at times too. Trying to be a minimalist which I believe is also the way of our prophet S.A.W. I know that a woman needs a loving and caring man and that is a person I will strive and try to be. Finally, my personal take in life is that a lot of the problems we face are mostly emotional (the heart) and not intellectual (the mind). Thus, Qur’an and Sunnah which provides the solution for both is the way we all should be getting the guidance from. Words are easier said than done so the least I can do is try my best and be real.
Someone that is compatible with me and will walk with me through it all as I will her. A person that will grow old with me. Not looking for a perfect partner, but a person that is committed towards developing herself in her deen (the religion) and dunya (worldly affairs) with me. I believe everyone has their own clock and schedule. A person that is balanced in her life should be suitable. A person that will complement me as I will her. She also has to know or at least try to learn her rights (yes rights, as I will try my best to fulfill them, learning this too) and obligations in Islam as a wife. Ultimately, I do not expect much of a spouse because I am also learning. Let's be realistic and not idealistic because that is only reserved for Jannah. Take care everyone :) Regards.
