I love animals, nature and Shariah. I love the Islamic concept of covering up people's faults behind their backs in order to create a happy and cooperative social environment. I'm excitable and generally optimistic about the people around me, while realistic about world affairs. I strongly believe that life has to be lived with a purpose, and in always improving as a Muslim, but that it is necessary to be have a good laugh along the way now and then. I worry often about the state of the Ummah and about serving it and the deen of Allah. I studied Computer Science and then completed a Research-based Postgraduate in Computational Linguistics with a focus on Arabic. If there's anything our youth is missing today, it's a direction connection to the Creator in the language that He revealed us guidance in. I hope to serve Allah's Deen through teaching, art, and linguistics in sha Allah. I would like the freedom to choose to work or not work, but supporting the family financially is entirely the husband's according to the obligation Allah has given him, and not to the woman. I am not, however, the type to leave young children needing their mother at home, in sha Allah. I feel that motherhood is a gift that should honored as such. Friends describe me in different words - optimistic, sincere, thoughtful, bubbly. Not that I believe in mere words any more, because I have seen people who are tagged with certain adjectives that - within a few exchanges - they completely upturn.
Looking for a kind, well-educated, and Islamic-minded gentleman. Someone who is flexible about little harmless things in life but particular about earning Halal. He is willing to have a non-coed marriage without music and without photoshoots, understands the importance of earning Halal and wants to proceed both in their career as well as a Muslim. Someone who appreciates the Deen of Allah as an all-encompassing mercy, and recognizes that we are all required to improve ourselves as Muslims, but that no one is perfect and no one can change overnight. If he isn't himself interested in pursuing Islamic knowledge further he should at least be supportive and accepting of a wife who does. He doesn't work in the Banking, Finance, Marketing or Pharmaceutical industries. Someone willing to give his children a better upbringing that simply putting them in the most expensive schools in town and thinking his job is done. Some things cannot be bought with money, and some schools are better at destroying a child's morality than anything else. I wear Niqab, hence I do not share my photo in the first instance of communication. According to Sunnah, two people should get married if they are similar on several fronts - firstly religious, but certainly also educational, mental, financial, and so on, in order to minimize breakups because of incompatibility. But they should see each other before marriage. However it is certainly not mentioned that a man should filter women out based on looking at their faces. Therefore the process I follow is the true and tried method that families used to use before the internet age - first learn about the family background and personality compatibility (this can take as little as one or two messages exchanged between the two parties), then have the two people see each other and decide.
