Assalamu alaikum, Not easy to describe oneself! Alhamdulillah, I am a person who strives to practice Islam in my daily life to the best of my abilities. I am always keen to better myself and to strengthen my imaan. I would say that I am a moderate Muslim and lead a good halaal/healthy lifestyle. I do not smoke and I do not drink. I am a British born Indian, I am 52 year old, I am an open minded, down-to-earth, friendly & a honest person. I believe that I have been bought up with a good balance of eastern and western values. I would describe myself as loving, honest, open, feisty, challenging and cheeky but equally I can be calm, relaxed and supportive. I passionately believe that there should be equality in a relationship and to make it work you have to look together in the same direction and want the same things. In my free time, I enjoy being with friends and family, going out for walks or occasional meals, i also enjoy cooking, and braai's this is something i've learnt since being on my own. I care about personal hygiene and being healthy. I like a clean home, hence use my weekends to undertake my domestic chores. i have travelled for both haj and umrah many times - mashallah, i pray that i can go again inshallah, with you. I am well travelled from europe, africa, middle east and south east asia, with the exception of saudi i found palestine to be one of the best experiences. A bit about my background… I grew up and was educated in the UK. I am a Gujerati Indian Muslim, and i am able to converse in Gujerati, and Urdu. I am an EU national/British Citizen so I do not have any residency problems. I was born in the UK, and have been living in the UK all my life and also have my immediate family are here too. I was previously in a marriage that did not work out due to differences I have two daughters, they are both living with my ex wife. I have regular contact with my daughters, and often go abroad with them too. I am looking for that special someone with whom I can build a happy tranquil marriage and a family with Islam as the basis. Who will not only be my wife, but my best friend and soulmate insha’Allah! A wife who will be there for me through good times and hardships in life, likes to have conversations and have a good laugh with me. Someone with whom I can simply feel contentment with and spend the rest of my life with. :) One of the Allah s Messenger (s.a.w) wife, is a good example of a pious spouse, i pray and aspire to have a woman more advanced in religious piety like Zainab, God-conscious, truthful, alive to the ties of blood, generous and having sense of self-sacrifice in practical life and having a charitable disposition and thus more closer to Allah. Someone who is keen to improve her imaan, and in general be a better person for this life and the hereafter. Practising Muslimah who prays,, has good understanding of Islam and strives to implement the deen in her daily life. I do not mind if you are divorced, widowed and have children or have never been married. No smokers and drinkers please. If you have children then I relay my promise to them to be fair and to be honest, to be available for them, as I will be for their for you, and in due time, to earn their love, respect and true friendship. I will not attempt to replace anyone, but to make a place in their hearts that is for me alone. I will be father and friend, and I will cherish my life with all of you inshallah.
